I've been seeing some common questions about Battlefield 3 popping up a lot lately regarding it's features, trailer, demo, and DLC. So I figured I'd clear them up Smile.

Most popular question:
Is Battlefield 3 = Battlefield Bad Company 2?
No, while it will be released on the PC next spring, it is not Battlefield 3.

Downloadable Content
EA has been increasing activity with Steam and has released Battlefield 2 on Steam, so it is expected, as of now, that Battlefield 3 will be available on disc and as a download.

Battlefield 3 Demo
There has been no mention or hints towards the release of a demo prior to BF3's launch.

Trailer
There has been no official trailer released as of this post. There has been some fake trailers on youtube, but most of them are using BF:BC/2 footage.

Any more questions? Post them in this thread.

I thought there was supposed to be an official announcement this year? well times running out, there still hasn't been any official confirmation that this game is even in development.. I think it's nothing but vaporware... they are too busy jumping on the console bandwagon and putting out stupid microtransaction games like heroes.

Nobody has put up any predictions on when we should get an announcement, I wouldn't expect an announcement until at least a month after Battlefield Bad Company 2 is released. Why? It's simple really, if EA announces Battlefield 3 prior to BF:BC2's launch, there's a good chance that many people will cancel their BF:BC2 orders or simply not buy the game and wait for Battlefield 3. EA would have spent a lot of money and time getting BF:BC2 to the PC and have it all pretty much go to waste Sad. And no one would like that Sad. Therefore, we'll get a Battlefield 3 announcement probably sometime in the Summer of 2010. While it does seem far off, it's really only 7 months away.

Well, I really don't know why they are even bothering releasing BC2 on the pc, I played the first one on the ps3 and thought it had nothing at all on BF2 a 5 year old game! sure people will buy it for pc but not the people like me that are holding out for a more in depth hardcore experience.

I'm sure there's many that are like you and there are still many CoD:MW2 people who cancelled their pre-orders to play BF:BC2.

Ya, but I think BC2 seems to be less sillyness or animated then the original BC was. I never played BC1 but the videos and lead up to it was.... different.

I have been playing BF2 and still playing it weekly with a few mods. Hard to beat old reliable. But I hope they can!
