There's already rumors floating around the internet about when Battlefield 3's release date will be. First off, BF3 has only been confirmed by both parties, but hasn't gone gold. More or less, it's on paper. Battlefield 3, as all Battlefield games, will take at least nine months of hard development by the talented teams at EA and DICE to create the product, this easily rules out any date in 2009, or EA's current fiscal year (which starts in March, we are in EA's current 2009 fiscal year.) John Pleasants stated that there was no way, Battlefield 3's announcement and launch was going to be in the current fiscal year, with that in mind, here's a predicted layout:
- Sometime between January and April 2010, Battlefield 3 is confirmed and goes gold (meaning it is definitely coming to stores)
- A period of rumors, PC upgrades, and anxious people occurs
- A demo is released, July - September 2010
- Game is released in late November - December 2010 However, if things don't go as planned, the game could be delayed up until March 2011!
Winter 2010 is the most legitimate option for release as of now!

Based off the fact that DICE/EA already have a few official Battlefield 1943 and Battlefield Bad Company 2 twitter pages, then is there a possibility that there is a Battlefield 3 twitter page?

Is it true that EA/DICE have created this account, so in the future they can post small game updates and announcements? Time will tell, for now we'll wait though. Keep your eyes on this feed.

DICE has confirmed Battlefield 3's development!
Twitter user, L_Twin AKA: KM Troedsson, the executive producer for the Battlefield series at DICE has confirmed that Battlefield 3 is under development!

Now, not only has EA (the publisher) confirmed BF3, but DICE (the developer) has confirmed that production of Battlefield 3!

Since the posts have been circulating the internet about Battlefield 3's confirmation, there have been many rumors and a lot of suspicion as to whether or not Battlefield 3 has been announced. The summary:
G4TV's the feed originally posted a quote from EA's COO, John Pleasants stating that the game (Battlefield 3) "is looking very good." The statement was made during a William Blair growth stock conference.
Analysis:
The statement wasn't heard during the audio recording from EA's website, however, he did say "Battlefield product at the end of the year looks fantastic" - 20:55

The statement found on G4, must have been made during a break section during the conference. However, the investors packet mentioned that EA would focus on producing hits on its core platforms, including PC. After John's statement of how the Battlefield series has a great outlook on top of the already active community, it makes perfect sense for a new Battlefield, focused around hardcore PC gaming to be announced.
The Rundown:
These are a few keynotes from the conference.
10% company growth this year - With higher profits, more investors will come, allowing EA to create more products (Battlefield 3!)
500,000,000 people growth worldwide - The gaming industry has grown
Technology has advanced enough to allow more hi-def features and advanced features for games - More advanced games with more realistic and engaging features
Mentioned the downloadable gaming industry - Battlefield 1943/Battlefield Heroes will be one.
"Battlefield product at the end of the year looks fantastic" - Straight from the mouth of EA's corporate council!
Battlefield 3, has it been confirmed? EA/Dice have constantly told us that the PC market hasn't been forgotten and better yet, Battlefield was mentioned as a major hit for the EA business, so why not expand on its market? For now BF3 is just that much closer to "going gold."

After about a year and a half since the original investor packet that was rumored to contain Battlefield 3 information, the truth is here and Battlefield 3 is on its way! The post was made at G4, John Pleasants (Chief Operating Officer - EA) made the following statement during a stock conference:

While it may not be a Battlefield 3 announcement, it's another finger in the right direction from a reputable DICE source. Click on this link, and view the 7th post in the thread, made by Zerk, the Battlefield Community Manager. He speaks about Battlefield 3.
